THE ONLY PLAN
It is reported that after Jesus ascended back to heaven, He was met by angels who asked how the people of earth were to find about what He had done for them. Jesus answered, “I left my message with eleven disciples. They will tell the story to others who will believe, then they will tell others, and they will tell even more people.”
The angels were shocked. They asked, “Do you mean that if they don’t tell the story of what you have done, all the blessings of your birth, life, death and resurrection will be lost – thrown away?”
Jesus answered, “Yes, it is my only plan! There is no other way!”
We are among those disciples who have heard, believed and received Him by faith. We must tell the truth of our Lord to others. It is His only plan. There is no other way!

Vision
HGFF – Youth Ministry will become God-centered, Bible-based, ministry-focused and leaders-producing youth ministry.
Mission
The HGFF – Youth Ministry exist as a ministry in the church with a vision to REACH OUT and RAISE a new breed of young people in today’s generation. They will serve as vessel of God’s transforming power; can stand against satan’s devices without compromise, becoming lights to their family, in schools, in universities, in workplaces, in the church, and in the community. Also a ministry, through which young people can be motivated, trained, and mobilized for the service of God, to the nations and to the world.
The key principles of this stage are:
1. Developing an atmosphere of love
Loving must be the basis for everything we do in ministry. You need to be loved and see God’s love in practice. They need to be involved in environments where healthy unconditional love abounds.
2. Developing a good mental picture of the youth group in the minds of the youth who attends YOP.
Youth want to associate with a group they feel good about, and they need a group which can be a youth subculture group for them; a group where they could possibly attain their primary group.
3. Developing each youth’s sense of significance
Youth need to know that they are a significant member of the group and not just a member. Thus, it is essential that relationships be established between the youth and the Leadership Team outside the church setting…on the kid’s own turf.
4. Developing a proper understanding of Christ
During the Growth phase, youth need to understand the characteristics of the Biblical Jesus. This is the foundational truth of Christianity. Jesus being God is the major truth that separates true Christianity from other false religions. Thus, our verbal teaching as well as our actions must emphasize who Jesus is, what He has done for us, and who we are in Christ.
5. A prayer base
Establishing a group of individuals who commit themselves to regularly and aggressively praying for the individuals and events within the youth ministry.
6. Communication of God’s Word
It is necessary that every aspect of our teaching be embedded in God’s Word with the purpose of getting the youth to read the Word on their own, and respond to its truth. “One cannot make a plant grow, but one can provide an environment for growth.”
